Fantastic day, beautiful boat and helpful and professional staff. 5 star experience. We managed to see 2 fantastic reefs, snorkelling was amazing, lunch was tasty and surprisingly high-end food, good size steaks, reef fish, prawns and heaps of salads and pastas. Even the vegan and veggie options were lovely.

Green Island Half Day Cruise. A good way to introduce you to the reef, before heading out for a full day. Would recommend this experience. The glass bottom boat was great as our skipper was really experienced and knew where to take the boat.
Friendly staff, great food, safety was first priority and the boat was clean, spacious and comfortable.

There are so many boat companies running out of Cairns to the Great Barrier Reef for snorkelling and diving. We chose the evolution “down under cruise and dive”. From passenger check-in, boarding the boat to arriving at the reef and the return trip back to Cairns there are no complaints from me. The friendliness of staff and the atmosphere on the boat was amazing. There are plenty of comfortable seats with tables to sit at and relax and enjoy lunch. Lunch was a buffet self serve steak, fish, prawns and soft drink or alcohol which was all included. They take the safety of their passengers seriously with multiple head counts, safety demonstrations and constantly asking if you are okay or have any questions.
All gear is included in price such as, mask and snorkel, stinger suit which is optional but they did say it’s recommended for the odd jellyfish or too being the tropics and floatation devices.
Staff were attentive and supportive! Everything you need is on board.

This was my first snorkelling cruise and it was so much fun, to say the least. I went with my partner, (who is a non swimmer) and we both had an amazing time on the cruise. Staff are really informative and helpful, as someone who gets sea sick, they had motion sickness tablets available on board, which made the day even more delightful! Everything is included and additional items are available for purchase, staff supplied us with all necessary snorkelling gear and stinger suits to prevent sun burn and jellyfish stings! My partner was provided a life jacket and even had a staff member in the water provide a guided snorkel for him so he didn’t miss out. The food was sooo yummy and they encourage you to go for seconds, thirds and even fourths! No shortage on the food, you can eat as much as you please. With the tea and coffee facilities, they were able to provide non diary milk at no extra costs and had muffins ready upon arrival. This cruise was great and I would definitely recommend! They really cater for all and anyone can enjoy the experience.
Beautiful boat, reef and experience. The must do when in Cairns. Evolution was stunning.

Great trip to outer reefs, we had calm seas the water was clear, saw turtles and lots of fish and coral, lunch was thumbs up. Boat was big and comfortable. Would highly recommend to all age groups. Easy booking and check in process, early morning, we were on the way just after 8am.
An amazing and awesome day trip for me and my bestie.

Our second day in Cairns was very memorable. After a hearty breakfast, my bestie and I proceeded to the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal. The staff of Down Under Cruise and Dive were very accommodating from check-in to boarding. Onboard the Evolution, we were greeted, briefed and assisted by a friendly and energetic crew. Though the day was cloudy, the outer Great Barrier Reef locations were breathtaking. Snorkelling was fun and thrilling. The instruction was provided for us and the crew were on hand to encourage and help us. We enjoyed a BBQ lunch prepared on board with fresh fish, steak, prawns and salads. We would have given it 5 stars if not for the missed opportunities to take good photos and videos with the underwater camera.
Nice cruise! A really good trip, good food and snorkel with turtles a big a fish and a little shark.

The staff was very friendly. If you are certified diving can do 3 dives in different places. Beautiful for a snorkel as well. Clean toilets and everything. Totally recommend.

We loved the whole experience! The crew were fantastic, the snorkelling was wonderful. The BBQ lunch was delicious. We hired an underwater camera from the crew & were able to capture some great moments! Thanks for a great day on the Great Barrier Reef.

It was the best I would say. The team is really good at organising the visit to the Great Barrier Reef. They are well organised. They took us to two reef locations. It was out of the world experience. If you are non swimmer they take extra care to make sure you are fine.

The best day out! Incredible vessel, extremely organised crew, beautiful locations and excellent safety protocols. We had the opportunity to swim with many kinds of reef fish and even a turtle! The team also took breathtaking photographs, which we have shared with family and friends. A must trip!
